Job summary

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a talented Assistant Bread Baker for part-time shifts in the afternoon and evening. You will join a dynamic team baking artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads with high quality ingredients.

The role offers training if needed, and opportunities to grow in bakery operations and customer service. You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around 11 am to 7 pm with occasional Sunday shifts.

Qualifications

• Large-scale baking/pastry experience preferred but not required; training available.
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus.
• Requires continuous standing and walking; ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes to create breads and pastries with high quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the shift.
• Operate with flexibility to support bakery needs and schedules.
• Work afternoons/evenings; bread baking shifts typically start around 11 am and end around 7 pm.

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is currently looking for a talented part-time Assistant Bread Baker. We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about food quality, customer service, community & as we are! In the role of Assistant Bread Baker, you will have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team who will offer a unique menu selection of artisan, sweet, & seasonal breads all baked with honest, whole ingredients.

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe must possess:

• Proven track record of demonstrating superhero abilities in the kitchen from following recipes to paying close attention to additional details to create one-of-a-kind breads. Lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies all weighing 50 lbs. or more.
• Requires continuous standing and walking throughout the shift, with limited opportunities for sitting. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation is required
• The ability to work through change & be able to be flexible all while keeping a close eye on what's cooking!
• The schedule availability to work afternoons/nights. Bread Baking shifts start around 11 am - 7 pm, plus a shift on Sunday (when the store is closed). During holiday seasons the Bread Baking team schedule may flex into overnight shifts too

A successful Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe need to be qualified with:
