Responsibilities

• Support dubbing and mastering workflows through preparation, prequalification, and QC of audio assets.
• Prepare, conform, and maintain Pro Tools dubbing packages and mix sessions to client specs.
• Perform technical QC checks, loudness conformance, and create final audio deliverables.
• Create, correct, rename, and organize audio elements and delivery packages for clients.
• Produce clear prequalification reports, identifying technical issues, risks, and fixes.
• Support major client projects, including Disney mastering and trailer prequalification work.
• Collaborate closely with Dubbing, Post Production, QC, and Audio Video QC teams to ensure smooth delivery workflows.
• Manage workloads effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities and tight turnaround times.
• Maintain accurate session files, reports, and deliverables while working to high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Use Pro Tools and supporting systems confidently while adapting to evolving workflows, tools, and client specifications.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Salary: Up to $27.81/ hour (DOE)

Location: El Segundo, office-based

Contract: Temporary, part-time position working on an as-needed basis

ZOO Digital have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Audio Engineer to join our team based in El Segundo, CA on a temporary, part-time, on-call basis.

This role is designed to provide additional operational support during periods of increased business demand. Successful candidates will remain employed by ZOO Digital and will be scheduled to work as and when business needs require, offering flexibility while supporting our dubbing and mastering operations.

The Assistant Audio Engineer will be responsible for Music & Effects dubbing package prequalification, generating prequalification reports, technical quality control of cloud dubbing sessions, ProTools dubbing package and mix session preparation and conformance.
