The Office of the Maine Attorney General seeks an Assistant Attorney General in the Health and Human Services Division in Augusta. You will represent the DHHS Office of Aging and Disability Services in guardianship and related matters, appearing in Probate and other courts as needed.

You will also represent DHHS in District Court hearings regarding involuntary commitment applications, collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals.

Qualifications

• Must be a member in good standing of the Maine Bar.
• 1–3 years of civil litigation and/or health care law experience preferred.
• Strong advocacy, writing skills, and ability to work as part of a team.

This position will also represent DHHS in District Court hearings with involuntary commitment applications.Office of the Attorney GeneralMinimum Qualifications: Applicants must be members of the Maine Bar in good standing, have an eye for legal detail, be interested in complex state and federal litigation, have strong legal advocacy and writing skills, and a demonstrated ability to function effectively as part of a team.
