Job summary

Virginia Office of the Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General, Education to provide legal services to education agencies reporting to the Secretary of Education. The role supports the Office of the Attorney General with education-related matters and related Commonwealth interests.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, qualify to practice law in Virginia, and be prepared to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities and written and oral communication skills and be able to respond to legal requests in a timely fashion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are also required. High level organizational skills and an ability to manage many projects simultaneously and work under pressure are required.
• Admission to the Virginia Bar is required before beginning employment.
