Averett University, a Division III member of the NCAA and Old Dominion Athletic Conference is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position is a full-time athletic trainer position.

Responsibilities include rehabilitation program development, documentation, first aid, EMR, and collaboration with coaches and physicians, plus oversight of Sports Medicine interns. Applicants should be licensed or eligible and possess CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

• BOC certification or eligibility to sit for BOC.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Virginia licensed athletic trainer or eligible to receive licensure.
• Computer/technology skills and strong oral and written communication are essential.
• Ability to work in a team dynamic and valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsabilités

• Assist in day-to-day operations within the Athletic Training department, including rehabilitation program creation and documentation.
• Provide first aid, emergency procedures as applied and communicate with staff and physicians.
• EMR documentation and care for NCAA events and games.
• Oversee students majoring in Sports Medicine or interns, with evaluations and feedback.
• Collaborate with Sports Performance coaches on lifts and return-to-play protocols.

Formation

Post Graduate degree or Athletic training experience preferred
