Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide primary medical care for injuries to student-athletes within the WashU Athletic Department.

Responsibilities include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, plus teaching athletic training courses and coordinating student training programs. The role is a 10-month, full-time position with options for Aug-May pay across 10 months or 12 months.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Missouri licensure as Athletic Trainer required (ATC preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prevention, evaluation, treatment, referral and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses to WashU student-athletes.
  • Assists in the teaching and instruction of the athletic training class.
  • Assists in organizing and conducting the in-service program for athletic training students.
  • Assists in the supervision of students employed in the athletic training program.
  • Manages the computer storage of the electronic medical records.
  • Works with colleagues in athletic training and strength and conditioning to address injury issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
