Wartburg College is seeking a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer, responsible for delivering athletic healthcare to NCAA Division III student-athletes. This role includes implementing athletic services and managing healthcare administration for soccer and track teams, making it vital for a successful athletic department.
Wartburg College-Assistant Athletic Trainer
Function of Position:
This is a full-time, ten-month position (August through May) reporting to the Associate Athletic Director. This individual will serve a vital role in the athletic healthcare team including physical therapists and team physicians while overseeing and delivering athletic healthcare services to NCAA Division III student-athletes in a nationally prominent athletic department.
Responsibilities:
Implement athletic training services to intercollegiate athletic teams and student athletes (90%).
Administrative duties related to student-athlete healthcare and primary sport oversight of Men’s & Women’s Soccer in the Fall and Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field in the Spring. (10%).
Supervision:
Employee proceeds independently working toward established objectives, requiring the use of a wide range of procedures. Employee prioritizes own work and resolves unusual cases in consultation with supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor’s degree, NATA certification, and a commitment to the welfare and development of student athletes within the philosophy of Division III. Master’s degree is required. Experience in college athletics preferred. Salary is competitive and includes benefits. Employer pays NATA Dues, State License and Continuing Education Credits.
