Job summary

Red Bull New York in Morristown, NJ is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer to assist the Academy players with treatment and rehabilitation, and to help implement injury reduction screening protocols and programs.

You will provide on-field medical coverage during training sessions and matches, assist in injury assessment, and communicate findings to athletic trainers, therapists, coaching staff, and team physicians. You will help develop and execute rehab plans and return-to-play protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or higher.
• NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injuries.
• Flexible schedule for weekday and weekend coverage.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform athletic training duties.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

In this part-time role, you will assist the Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists at RBNY in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation of all Academy players. Additionally, you will assist the Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists in the implementation of injury reduction screening protocols and the delivery of their individual programs.

Responsibilities

Provide on field medical coverage during Academy training sessions and matches as assigned. Assist with the assessment of new injuries on the field of play and in the treatment room. Initiate communication chain of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists, and when appropriate communicate findings to coaching staff, fitness staff, and team physician. Assist in the creation and execution of short, medium and long term rehabilitation plans for players as assigned. Assist in the development and delivery of individualized injury reduction measures within the RB2 setting. Assist in the creation and execution of end stage rehab testing and assist performance staff with execution of return to play programming when appropriate.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training
• NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer
• Strong communications skills
• Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injury
• Flexible schedule for both weekday and weekend coverage
• The ability to regularly lift up to 75lbs, in addition to being physically capable of performing general athletic training duties
