Job summary

New York Red Bulls is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide on-field medical coverage during Academy trainings and matches, assess injuries on the field and in the training room, and communicate findings to athletic trainers, physical therapists, coaching staff, and team physicians.

You will help create and execute short, medium and long‑term rehabilitation plans, contribute to injury-reduction measures in the RB2 setting, and support end‑stage rehab testing and return‑to‑play programming as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Athletic Training.
• NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
• Strong communications skills.
• Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injury.
• Flexible schedule for both weekday and weekend coverage.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform athletic training duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide on field medical coverage during Academy training sessions and matches.
• Assist with assessment of new injuries on the field and in the treatment room.
• Initiate communication of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists, and to coaching staff, fitness staff, and team physician when appropriate.
• Assist in the creation and execution of short, medium and long term rehabilitation plans for players as assigned.
• Assist in the development and delivery of individualized injury reduction measures within the RB2 setting.
• Assist in the creation and execution of end stage rehab testing and assist performance staff with return to play programming when appropriate.
