A leading institution in NCAA Division II athletics is seeking an Athletic Trainer to manage healthcare for intercollegiate student-athletes. Responsibilities include developing training programs, overseeing injury treatments, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills and relevant experience.
This position is available for work in a competitive NCAA Division II athletics program in the Gulf South Conference.
Expectations include, but are not limited to: • development and implementation of a successful intercollegiate athletic training program to include planning, organization, coordination, and management of health care to intercollegiate student-athletes • budget management • supervision of the operation of athletic training facilities • evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and documentation of injuries • scheduling athletic training coverage for 17 NCAA sports teams • working with team physicians with rehabilitation programs and return protocol • adherence to institutional, Gulf South Conference and NCAA rules and regulations • supporting the vision of the CBU Athletics Department • other duties as assigned
This position reports to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Medicine. This position must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students, while interacting successfully with department personnel and the College community.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, graduate of a CAATE Accredited Athletic Training Program, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specific to these positions. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education and five (5) years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specific to these positions.
