Position Summary

This role involves serving as an athletic trainer for men's and women's athletics during all seasons and off-season events. The incumbent will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in performing professional athletic training duties, including injury prevention, care, evaluation, and rehabilitation.

Essential Functions

• Attend practices and games for assigned sports.
• Conduct evaluations, treatments, and rehabilitation during office hours.
• Maintain athletic training rooms, including cleaning, towel laundering, and inventory management.
• Handle medical paperwork and assist with insurance claims.
• Travel for conference and some non-conference games.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• CPR/AED certification.
• Certified BOC Athletic Trainer.
• Graduate of a CAATE-approved athletic training program.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Kansas and Missouri.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• 2-4 years of related experience, including taping, injury evaluation, and rehabilitation.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Alignment with the mission of the University of Saint Mary.
