Job summary

American International College in Springfield, MA, seeks an Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and Performance to lead athletic training and performance services for ~650 student-athletes. You will supervise staff, set standards of care, and coordinate with campus health services, the team physicians, and our PT partners.

The role includes direct athletic training coverage for Football and Golf, policy development, budgeting and strategic planning as part of the Athletics leadership

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; BOC-ATC certification preferred.
• Massachusetts AT license or eligibility to obtain by start date.
• 3–5 years of experience as a certified athletic trainer, including football coverage.
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Athletic Training and Sports Performance staff, including hiring, onboarding and supervision.
• Publish daily clinic schedules and sport coverage assignments.
• Oversee strength and conditioning and weight room operations with the performance staff.
• Serve on the Athletics Senior Leadership Team and contribute to policy, budget and strategy.
• Act as Head Athletic Trainer for Football and primary for Golf; ensure coverage and care.
