Job summary

Springfield College seeks applications for a Director of Athletic Healthcare. This full-time, 12-month program-track appointment will begin January 2027 in the Department of Athletic Training and the School of Physical Education, Performance and Sport Leadership.

Qualifications

• Must possess exemplary organizational and communication skills.
• At least two years of college teaching and/or head/director-level athletic trainer experience.
• 4+ years as a certified athletic trainer; MA licensure eligibility and NPI.
• Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited program; doctoral preference.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership of athletic healthcare services.
• Teach courses within the CAATE accredited MSAT program.
• Maintain budget, inventory, and purchasing.
• Exercise independent medical authority for care decisions of student athletes.
• Organize medical clearances and pre-participation physicals.
• Maintain electronic medical records and collaborate with Athletics Leadership Team.
