Job description

The College of Southern Idaho (CSI) is a two-year public community college located in Twin Falls, Idaho. Founded in 1965, CSI serves over 9,000 students each year and offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs. The CSI Golden Eagles are widely recognized as one of the premier community college athletic programs in the nation, having won more than 100 Regional Championships and more than 20 National Championships. The College of Southern Idaho competes in the Scenic West Athletic Conference of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and current has 12 intercollegiate sports programs.

The Assistant Athletic Director will assist in providing direction and insight for the College of Southern Idaho Athletic Department in both short and long-range goals of fundraising and enhancing game day events.

This position will have bonus compensation opportunities tied to performance outcomes in fund raising.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinator of the Fall Fest Auction, the major fundraiser for CSI Athletics. Works with local businesses and individuals to procure auction items, garner support for foundation special projects and secures and works closely with the facility that hosts the event.
  • Maintains existing accounts and facilitates new opportunities for signage, promotions, and digital advertising. Keeps historic records and maintains contracts for all corporate sponsors.
  • Coordinator of CSI Golf Tournament, Gameday program ads, Ticket backs and special projects as directed by the Athletic Director and/or College President.
  • Serves as the athletic department booster club liaison and point of contact person. This includes attending monthly meetings and helping with facilitating events between the athletic department and Booster Club
  • Coordinates Community Volunteer events with our coaches and student athletes such as the Read Like an Eagle game nights and youth outreach.
  • Heads promotional campaigns to promote ticket sales with both group and season tickets. Advertises and attracts people to all CSI events.
  • Coordinates and organizes periodic pre-and post- game events.
  • Coordinates the facility for the sophomore appreciation banquet.
  • Works with the Sports Information Office in the promotion and coordination of social media as a means of attracting people to events and the overall promotion of CSI Athletics.
  • Attends all CSI home events and is the official in charge during designated events. Helps with the game management of the video board operation and helps other members after games in tearing down the events.
  • Attends league region meeting, and region tournaments as assigned.
  • Encouraged to participate in community clubs/memberships and other community gatherings.
  • Works with the Sports Information Office in coordination of all social media that includes design, branding, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop personal relationships and make personal visits to corporate sponsors, donors, and season ticket holders.
  • Oversight of fan experience at home contests that include game day setup, video board operations, streaming oversight, corporate sponsorship fulfillment, write game script, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with Adobe Photoshop and video editing software
  • Manage all marketing, corporate sponsorships, fundraising, and special events that include annual Fall Fest Dinner & Auction, Fly Like an Eagle Golf Tournament.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates’ degree in athletic administration, business management, or marketing required plus related experience, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Integrity, drive, and vision.
  • Requires a driver's license and CPR certification.
