Position Overview:
This position will assist the Athletic & Activities Director in coordinating athletic and extracurricular activities. It has primary responsibility for 9-12th grade athletics and activities, including event planning, facilities scheduling, setup, game management, supervision, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities to BSM as a Catholic School:
While it is not an essential prerequisite that all employees be Catholic, except in teaching religion, all employees are expected to respect the teachings of the Church. All should support the mission and philosophy of the school in word and action.
Administrative:
- Activities administration
- Support to activities program advisors
- Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, and other departments for positive communication and branding of activities programs
- Assist AD with budget management, facilities, and equipment oversight
- Facility scheduling
- Games & Events:
- Setup for athletic games and events (scoreboard, PA system, team bench, field markers)
- Site supervision, including spectator management, officials, and game workers; coordinate payments
- Administer high school academic eligibility in coordination with the Principal
- Scheduling:
- Lead facility scheduling, coordinate with AD and departments
- Assist in high school scheduling as needed
- Officials scheduling in coordination with AD (soccer, volleyball, football, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
Game Worker Coordinator (Home Events):
- Assign and recruit home game workers
- Coordinate payments with the business office
Summer Camp/Training Coordinator:
- Coordinate with Athletic Director on program details and finances
- Create and update program listings on the website
- Handle registrations and allocate participants
- Share information with coaches
- Coordinate camp/check-in days
Miscellaneous:
- Order equipment and supplies as directed
- Assist with concessions
- Coordinate special projects (e.g., Shot Clock Installation)
- Assist with building operations (opening/closing)
- Assist with game schedules, verify weekly schedules with opponents
- Handle deliveries and pickups (e.g., awards, MSHSL Office)
- Train coaches and moderators on building security protocols
