ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Faculty Positions: Department of Translational Neuroscience, UTMB

We are seeking innovative scientists to join our team and advance neuroscience research and its clinical applications.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong neuroscience background and expertise in:

  • Microbiome and Gut-Brain Axis: Research on gut-brain connections in neurological function/disease.
  • Bioinformatics and Multiomics: Analysis of large-scale biological data such as transcriptomics for neurological insights into disease mechanisms and targets.
  • Biomarkers and Human Tissues and Samples: Utilizing human samples for biomarker identification, disease mechanisms, and translational research.
  • Successful candidates will establish extramurally funded research programs, contribute to our educational mission, and engage in collaborative initiatives across UTMB.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in neuroscience or a related field.
  • Strong record of research accomplishments and publications.
  • Independent extramural funding.
  • Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
SALARY:

Commensurate with experience.
