Position Summary
The School of Computing and the Department of Geography at the University of Georgia invite applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor position starting August 2025. The position will be 75% in School of Computing and 25% in Geography, in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.

We are seeking candidates with a background or interest in Geospatial and/or Spatio-temporal Data Analytics (including GeoAI), Visual Analytics, Edge Computing, or Physics-based AI Models, and their applications to remote sensing such as developing innovative remote sensing methodologies for modeling and information synthesis, multi-source data fusion, or visualization.
Additional Requirements
Applicants for an Assistant Professor should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field with a strong record of high-quality publications. A candidate for Associate Professor position should have at least 6 years of relevant experience, including a record of significant extramural research funding, and mentoring of graduate students, and must be on track to gaining national reputation for their research. For an Associate Professor level hire to be eligible for tenure upon appointment, candidates must have been tenured at a prior institution and must have an established national reputation for research. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.
