JOB SUMMARY:
The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Fort Valley State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor faculty position, with appointment to begin August 1, 2025. Applicants should have a demonstrated record of scholastic excellence in Public Administration, and an earned PhD in the discipline. This position is a full-time, tenure track position in Public Administration in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The Assistant/Associate Professor will teach graduate-level courses in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program. The preferred candidate will also develop collaborations with faculty in the Department, College, and University as well as assist with departmental activities and initiatives.
Successful candidates will have experience and scholastic interests in public administration that include two or more of the following areas: data analysis, budgeting and finance, performance management, program or policy evaluation, and local government administration. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and/or professional experience in Emergency Management and/or Homeland Security.
