Job Description:
The School of Nursing and Allied Health is seeking a full-time nursing faculty member who will also serve as the Program Director (PD) of the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN). This faculty position will include teaching responsibilities in nursing while assuming leadership as the Program Director of the proposed LPN program. The faculty member will assist with the LPN program's approval and implementation processes. The PD will oversee the administration, planning, and evaluation of the LPN curriculum, ensuring it meets accreditation standards and effectively prepares students for entry into the nursing profession. This role is designed to provide strategic leadership in program development, ensuring the curriculum remains current, evidence-based, and aligned with both state and national NCLEX-PN licensing requirements. The primary goal of this position is to establish a rigorous and supportive learning environment that produces competent and compassionate LPNs ready to meet diverse healthcare needs in various clinical settings. Additionally, the Program Director will mentor faculty and students, fostering professional growth and contributing to the development of a strong healthcare workforce pipeline. Rank/Salary:Tenure-track, assistant/associate professor, minimum starting salary of $80,000, appointment and salary to commensurate with experience and qualifications.
