The University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine and Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences invites applications from qualified individuals for one full-time multi-track faculty position in Medical Oncology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. This position is focused on teaching and clinical service, but also provides opportunities to participate in clinical and bench-top research.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will join a team of two other medical oncologists, all of whom are Diplomates of the ACVIM (Medical Oncology), two board certified radiation therapists (Diplomate of the ACVR), and three surgical oncologists (ACVS Fellow of Surgical Oncology), in a beautiful 100,000 square foot Small Animal Hospital.
Features of the hospital include a 1.5T MRI, helical CT, gamma camera, ten spacious O.Rs, C-arm fluoroscopy, portable radiography, state of the art laparoscopy/arthroscopy, interventional radiology suite, electrochemotherapy and a linear accelerator with cone beam CT, a multi-leaf collimator and stereotactic radiotherapy. Extensive opportunities for collaborative research exist within the College and with the UF College of Medicine, Shands Cancer Center and McKnight Brain Institute.
