Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is recruiting for an Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Human Genetics. The Genetics Laboratories perform CLIA and CAP certified testing and collaborate on over two hundred diseases.

The role emphasizes clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity with opportunities to lead program development and regional referral networks. Applicants participate in patient care, teaching, service, and research, with ABMGG accredited training

Qualifications

• MD/DO required with unrestricted medical license.
• Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility expected.
• Credentialing approval from CCHMC Medical Staff Services.
• Completion of all required pre-employment activities.
• Prior clinical practice experience may be required by the department.
• Board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective patient care commensurate with the level of advancement and clinical specialty.
• Coordinate care and supervise students, residents and fellows to ensure safe care.
• Develop and maintain a local/regional referral base for subspecialist services.
• Document patient care on appropriate records and coordinate treatment plans.
• Plan, implement, and monitor prognostic and rehabilitative care as needed.
• Engage in scholarly activity including clinical research and publishing.

Education

Doctor of Medicine OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine OR equivalent

Unrestricted licensed physician

Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division

Completion of all required pre-employment activities

Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility

Prior clinical practice experience may be required by the department

Preferred: Board certification
