Position Overview

This is a twelve-month, full-time, contract faculty position responsible for delivering graduate nursing curriculum.

Teaching Responsibilities

The standard teaching load is seven courses per academic year. Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching and administrative duties;
  • Serving as Course Coordinator for NURP/NURS 424: Advanced Pharmacology and other courses as assigned;
  • Overseeing curriculum, faculty, and student experience in all sections;
  • Ensuring curricular alignment with standards and program goals;
  • Recommending course development and revisions;
  • Hiring and mentoring adjunct faculty;
Additional Responsibilities

Curriculum Support and Delivery: Manage educational processes, support curriculum revisions, ensure quality and continuous improvement.

Student Experience & Resolution: Collaborate on resolving student issues, oversee grading practices, and monitor student progress.

Section Instructor Supervision: Mentor, evaluate, and support adjunct faculty, ensure instructor readiness, and facilitate faculty development.

Immersion Programs: Support immersive clinical events on campus.

Teaching: Deliver courses, supervise students, maintain records, and foster a positive learning environment.

Service and Professional Engagement

Participate in curriculum development, university committees, and maintain professional currency through ongoing development and involvement.

Qualifications
  • MSN required; DNP or other doctoral degree preferred or a commitment to obtain one within five years;
  • At least 2 years of clinical practice in advanced pharmacology;
  • Experience in nursing education preferred;
  • Online teaching experience preferred;
  • Massachusetts RN license required;
  • Commitment to diversity and collegiality.
Terms of Service

This remote, 12-month contract role reports to the Chair of Graduate Nursing Programs. The workload is seven courses per year, consistent with institutional policies.
