Job summary

Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Endodontics seeks applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor (Open Rank) on a 3 days/week schedule. Job description

Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Department of Endodontics, is seeking applications for a full-time (3 days / week) Assistant/Associate Professor (Open Rank) faculty position, who through their research, teaching and service will be an asset to the department and the university. Academic rank and salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position includes the option to participate in the school’s Faculty Practice Office an additional 1-2 days/week. This is a non-tenure track position.

Responsibilities of the selected individuals will include teaching predoctoral and postdoctoral students as assigned and approved by the Chair of the Department of Endodontics. Duties may include preclinical and clinical education, lectures, endodontic seminars, literature review, clinical supervision of patient care andsupervision of the research activity of the postdoctoral students towards fulfillment of their Master of Science Degree (MSD). Ability to act as a statistician, developing statistical designs, performing interpretation and calculations is highly desirable.

Expectations include good working relations with students, faculty, and staff and have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collegiality. Participation is expected in all academic activities, dental school meetings, department meetings, committee meetings and will be responsible for performing other duties and assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chair.

It is highly desirable that applicants are Board Certified or Educationally Qualified, pursuing board certification with the American Board of Endodontics (ABE). Must hold a DDS, DMD or international equivalent degree.
