Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Microbiology at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The successful candidate will teach Microbiology, Principles of Biology I, and additional courses supporting the Biological Health Science program, including Virology, Immunology, and Human Disease.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Microbiology (ABD considered if degree is conferred before start).

Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Microbiology at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The candidate will be expected to teachMicrobiology, Principles of Biology I, and additional courses that support the Biological Health Science program including Virology, Immunology, and Human Disease.Additional courses may be taught within the candidate’s area of expertise.Candidates should have a background inMicrobiology with a biomedical or human/life sciences emphasis preferred .Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. from an accredited university, but ABD applicants may be considered if they demonstrate the ability to have their degree conferred before the anticipated start date.

The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate education, and teaching experience at the college level is preferred. Candidates must show potential for engaging in a research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.The ability to further develop the Biological Health Science program and improve student recruitment is preferred.Experience or willingness to teach online and/or hybrid courses and potentially teach summer classes is also preferred.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank.The anticipated start date isAugust 1, 2027.
