Job description

Creighton University School of Dentistry is seeking a motivated individual to support the didactic and clinical curricula of the school, including patient services through the School’s pre‑doctoral clinic model.

This 12‑month tenure‑track position will work with a team of dedicated faculty who are building on a rich legacy of excellence in dental education and expanding our capacity as a national resource in the dental profession. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of the curriculum, notably in the preclinical courses and labs in addition to the clinic.

Primary appointment will be in the Department of General Dentistry. Academic rank and salary will be based upon qualifications. This is a teaching‑research clinical sciences, tenure‑track position. Creighton is a Catholic and Jesuit comprehensive university committed to excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.

Required Qualifications
  • DDS or DMD degree or an equivalent degree from an international program combined with an ADA‑accredited certificate of completion from an applicable specialty or postgraduate program.
  • Successful completion of Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination or the Integrated National Board Dental Examination prior to the date of hire.
  • Candidates must possess an unrestricted Nebraska Dental License or be eligible to obtain one and acquire credentialing from applicable third‑party payer systems.
  • Candidates must also possess strong organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a collegial, interdisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or certificate in Operative Dentistry or Dental Materials; or a Certificate from a postgraduate program in General Dentistry (AEGD/GPR); or a multi‑year general dentistry commitment as part of military service for the purpose of joining existing faculty in dental materials research and advanced restorative techniques, which may include digital dentistry applications.
  • General dentists with significant experiential learning are encouraged to apply.
