The Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah invites applications for a full-time, 1.0 FTE, (Clinical) Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, depending on experience. This faculty member will teach in the Hybrid Pathway of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and serve as Associate Director of Clinical Education (ADCE). This position is remote, though periodic travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as travel for clinical education site visits, is required. The faculty member will have two primary responsibilities:

This position provides an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative DPT program that values excellence, collaboration, and innovation in education.
The Department is home to three different degree offerings (a DPT Program with 3 pathways, a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences, a MAT Program) and post-professional Physical Therapy Residencies. The Department focuses on health care provider education and rehabilitation research and has successful collaborations across the University to support these missions. Collaborative entities include the Academy of Health Sciences Educators, the Craig H. Nielsen Rehabilitation Hospital, the University Orthopedic Center, the Salt Lake Veterans Administration Medical Center, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, among others.
The University of Utah is classified by the Carnegie Foundation as one of 151 “Doctoral/Research Universities-Extensive” from among 3,941 U.S. institutions and is consistently ranked among the top 25 public research universities in the nation. The University of Utah is in Salt Lake City, in the foothills of the majestic Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains.
