Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University’s Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences invites applications for an assistant or associate professor in Kinesiology focused on brain health. The position emphasizes nanotechnology-based imaging and biomarker analysis, and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

You will supervise students, advise, contribute to program assessment and accreditation, and work across the BrainHealth cluster to build an externally funded research program;

Qualifications

• PhD in Kinesiology or related discipline by appointment date (ABD considered).
• Ability to establish and sustain a strong externally funded research program in brain health.
• Pedagogical skills to teach Brain Health and Kinesiology at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Experience with student advisement and mentoring.
• ACSM certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction for undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Advise, mentor, and recruit students; participate in curriculum development.
• Develop and sustain an externally funded brain health research program.
• Contribute to program assessment and accreditation activities.
• Collaborate across departments in the BrainHealth cluster.
