Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for an assistant/associate professor in Kinesiology with a focus on recreation and/or sport management. The position is 9-month, tenure-track, and is based in the Kinesiology department in the Hairston College of Health and Human Sciences.

Responsibilities include teaching, student advising, curriculum development, and contributing to program assessment and accreditation.

Qualifications

• PhD in Kinesiology or related discipline by appointment date; ABDs considered with PhD awarded before hire.
• Ability to establish and sustain a strong research enterprise and teach in Recreation and Sport Management.
• Commitment to student advising, mentoring, and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Provide student-centered teaching of undergraduate courses and advise students.
• Engage in program assessment, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
• Establish an externally funded research program and publish scholarly work.
• Support service to department, college, university, and professional organizations.
