About The Job

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Minnesota is seeking a board-certified/eligible Pediatric Cardiology Physician at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.

About The Appointment
  1. The department/division seeks an individual with a strong interest in Pediatric Heart Failure, Mechanical Circulatory Devices, and Pediatric Heart Transplant, to join our Medical Director of Heart Failure/Transplant/VAD.
  2. Responsibilities include participating in pre- and post-transplant cardiac evaluation and treatment of cardiomyopathies and heart failure due to various etiologies.
  3. This position may involve general pediatric cardiology care at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital and/or outreach clinics in the metro area.
  4. Depending on expertise, participation in echocardiographic interpretation, inpatient and outpatient service is expected.
  5. Additional duties include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and engaging in service activities for the department, medical school, and profession.
  6. Scholarly work in the candidate’s specialty/research area, aiming for collaborative or independent, externally funded research, will be supported.
Qualifications
  1. Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship training programs.
  2. Board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology.
  3. Licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
  4. Ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
  5. Meet credentialing and privileges requirements.
  6. Ability to work in the United States.
About The Department

Join our team of 20 Cardiologists dedicated to innovative pediatric heart care, education, and research. The Pediatric Heart Transplant program has a 35-year history and has grown significantly, prompting recruitment of a second Heart Failure/Transplant cardiologist. Our team includes CV intensivists, care coordinators, cardiologists, and surgeons, all within a dedicated children’s hospital setting.

Pay And Benefits

Pay Range: $253,600+ depending on qualifications and experience.

Time Appointment: 75%-100%
