The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Cornell University, in collaboration with the Center for Immunology and the Center for Antimicrobial Resistance, invites applications from scientists specializing in immunology, virology, bacteriology, and parasitology. We are recruiting for multiple tenure-track positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels.
Ideal candidates will employ innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to explore fundamental principles of immunology and microbial pathogenesis, including innate and adaptive immunity, host-microbe interactions, mucosal immunity, tumor immunology, neuro-immunology, autoimmunity, antimicrobial resistance, and vaccines. Applicants utilizing genomic and imaging techniques to deepen understanding of health and disease are especially encouraged.
Successful candidates will join a dynamic faculty within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, located in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Our department's research strengths include host-microbe interactions, innate immunity, lymphocyte development, vaccine design, immunodiagnostics, and immune engineering. Cornell offers state-of-the-art core facilities in genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, flow cytometry, multiphoton microscopy, and BSL3 laboratories.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D., M.D., D.V.M., or equivalent, with an outstanding research record and the potential to develop a vibrant independent research program. The position is a full-time, 12-month appointment with a salary range of $130,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience.
