About the Job

The University of Minnesota is seeking an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to serve as an Endocrinologist, providing clinical services to support the expansion of our Endocrinology services across the spectrum of complexities. The ideal candidate will deliver high-level, patient-centered care aligned with the goals of the University of Minnesota, M Physicians, and M Health Fairview to achieve excellent patient outcomes.

Practice Highlights
  1. Collaborate with the Endocrinology service line medical director and other leaders to oversee and organize the Endocrinology care program, ensuring best practice standards.
  2. Join a network of 16 academic and two community Endocrinologists, along with advanced practice providers across community clinics.
  3. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) involving outpatient care (0.85 FTE), 3-4 weeks/year of inpatient consults at UMMC, and 15% academic/educational responsibilities including teaching fellows, residents, and students.
  4. Practice at the CSC (1-2 days/week) and an M Health Fairview community clinic (2-3 days/week).
  5. Provide comprehensive care for conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, and disorders of the thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and parathyroid glands.
  6. Collaborate with colleagues within the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism.
  7. Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and facilitate referrals.
  8. Participate in leadership meetings and explore opportunities for research and teaching.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship.
  • Board certified with ABIM in internal medicine and eligible/certified in endocrinology.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical license and DEA in Minnesota, with credentials for privileging.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. work authorization and maintain legal status under VISA requirements.
Pay and Benefits

The position is jointly employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians, with a salary starting at $55,000, depending on academic effort. Clinical salary is provided through UMP, with a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, tuition benefits, and more.
