What We're Looking For

The purpose of this role is to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and prospects for major gifts in support of Baylor University, focusing on support for University Libraries, University Press, and the Mayborn Museum.

A bachelor's degree and less than one year of relevant experience are required. A master's degree and five years of experience in fundraising or related fields are preferred.

A valid US Driver License with a clear driving record of at least two years is required. Ability to travel outside of Texas is necessary.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.

What You Will Do
  1. Cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects for major gifts to Baylor, especially for their respective colleges and units.
  2. Collaborate with deans, directors, or senior administrators to develop impactful philanthropic agendas aligned with Baylor's and colleges'/units' strategic plans.
  3. Establish yearly measurable goals and related metrics for new gift commitments, proposals, prospect qualification, and meetings, under the guidance of the Assistant VP and Associate VP for Development.
  4. Participate in prospect management, discovery/qualification visits, and related development programs.
  5. Assist with programs to increase giving, as requested by the Assistant VP and Associate VP for Development.
  6. Partner with college and unit advisory boards and councils to increase giving.
  7. Work with the Advancement team to inspire trust, foster creative thinking, and collaborate to increase private gifts.
  8. Perform other duties supporting Baylor's mission and policies, maintaining punctual attendance.
