Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Pathology invites applications for an academic-track faculty member to serve as Assistant or Associate Director of the Histocompatibility (HLA) Laboratory. Candidates must have an MD and/or PhD, be ACHI board-certified/eligible, and show strong academic credentials.

Qualifications

• MD or PhD required; board-certified/eligible by ACHI.
• Experience in high-complexity ASHI-certified lab supporting transplants.
• Strong academic credentials and pursuit of extramural funding encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students, residents and fellows.
• Engage in basic, clinical, and translational research.
• Develop and sustain extramural funding and collaborations.
