The University of California is seeking an Instructor for DANCE 112/212 – West African Dance for the Fall 2026 term. The position requires several years of experience teaching West African Dance at the college level.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate students, delivering lectures, leading movement activities, and providing feedback on performance and analysis. The instructor must reside in California and be able to serve as an accompanist.
Location: Saint Mary's College of California, Moraga, California.
This in‑person course introduces students to the arts of West African dance from Ghana, covering music, dance history, culture, etiquette, and application in social settings and stage performances.
Teach DANCE 112/212 to undergraduate students in the Fall 2026 term, including delivering lectures, leading in‑class movement activities, and providing feedback to students on performance and analysis. Serve as accompanist for the class.
Salary range as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU Local 1021.
