Job summary

MHK Architecture in Sarasota, FL seeks an Assistant Architectural Associate with 0-3+ years of experience to join the Commercial Team on-site. You will produce design deliverables and Revit project documentation under senior guidance, aiding drafting and documentation tasks while learning firm standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration, strong communication, attention to detail, and ongoing ARE exam preparation as you contribute to conceptual design, design development and construction

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist throughout the design process under routine guidance; contribute to the overall success of the team
• Support preparation of creative design ideas and solutions as an integral design team member
• Provide design support for schematic design, design development, and construction documents
• Perform product research and assist with material selections
• Assist with client presentation materials using design applications
• Coordinate with team members and consultants; participate in design reviews and pinups

We are currently searching for an Assistant Architectural Associate with 0-3+ years of experience to work on-site in our Sarasota office on the Commercial Team. Expected salary range to be commensurate with experience.

About The Role

Produce design deliverables and Revit project documentation under the direction of senior team members. Aid drafting and architectural documentation team under the direction of senior team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist throughout the design process under routine guidance; contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
• Support preparation of creative and innovative design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
• Provide design support under supervision for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Perform product research and assist team with material selections.
• Assist in preparing client presentation materials using design application skills and creative ideas.
• Use a creative approach to perform tasks and responsibilities on projects in an organized, timely, and consistent manner.
• Selfcheck work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and compile data for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
• Provide support to tasks within project teams (may focus on individual detailed tasks) and studio activities.
• Assist with coordination among team members and consultants
• Participate in design reviews, charrettes, and pinups.
• Open communication within team and with designated team leader.
