Juneau Pools, part of the City & Borough of Juneau, is seeking a part-time Recreation Worker II (Assistant Aquatic Instructor) to support swim lessons at the Dimond Park Aquatic Center. You will help with class management and keep eyes on all students during lessons.
Shifts are weekday evenings during the school year and weekday mornings in summer, with occasional Saturday mornings. CPR/First Aid within 30 days of employment is required, and certification within 3 months is expected.
Juneau Pools is seeking a Recreation Worker II also known as Assistant Aquatic Instructor to join our energetic Dimond Park Aquatic Center team!
Under general supervision, this position will teach swimming lessons to students aging from six months to senior citizens.
We are looking for fun and energetic applicants with good communication and organizational skills who enjoy working with children in an aquatic setting. Applicants must be attentive and able to follow the directions of the aquatic instructor whom they are assisting.
This position's scheduled shifts will be on weekday evenings during the school year and on weekday mornings, typically from 8:00am-12:00pm, during the summer and occasional Saturday mornings.
