Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Director for our After-school program in Fremont, CA. The role leads a team to deliver engaging care, learning, and excitement for children and staff, fostering curiosity and belonging.

The candidate will guide creative activities, supervise staff, and build strong relationships with families and schools, ensuring safety and a positive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

• A degree in child development, 3 units in Administration, and 2 years of teaching experience.
• A BA degree in child development, 3 units in Administration, and 1 year of teaching experience.
• Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit.
• Option 1: 24 semester units in child development, recreation, or related field; 6 semester units in administration and supervision; 2 years of experience with school-age children.
• Option 2: Bachelor's degree in child development, recreation, or related field; 3 units in administration and supervision; 1 year of experience with school-age children.
• Option 3: A School-Age Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of professionals to deliver high-quality care, learning, and excitement to children.
• Train AlphaBEST staff to nurture children and ignite wonder.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment fostering positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships.
