Qualifications

  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and mentoring within the facility.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a facility management system.
  • Assist with the administration, management, supervision and coordination of all departments to ensure appropriate care.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and other technological resources.
  • Oversight of the facility quality assurance process.
  • Observe and uphold all facility policies and procedures.
  • Support the financial management of a health care facility.
  • Knowledge of regulations and ensure compliance with local, state, federal rules.
  • Ensure timely reporting.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships and represent the facility in professional/community activities.
  • Attend and participate in educational programs for continued professional development.
  • Participate in the Manager on Duty weekend program.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Administrator, under the direction and supervision of the Administrator is delegated with certain responsibilities and authority for the internal operations of the facility, in accordance with resident needs, federal and state government regulations and company policies/procedures so as to maintain quality care for the residents while achieving the facility’s business objectives

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $48,000.00 - $53,000.00 Annually, based on experience

Essential Functions:
  • Provide leadership and mentoring opportunities within the facility
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a facility management system
  • Assist with the administration, management, supervision and coordination of all departments to insure appropriate care
  • Proficient in the use of computers and other technological resources
  • Oversight of the facility quality assurance process
  • Observe and uphold all facility policies and procedures
  • Support the financial management of a health care facility
  • Knowledge of pertinent local, state, federal and other regulations and ability to implement and maintain compliance with these regulations governing the facility, patient/resident care, and reimbursement
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of all required reporting
  • Identify problems, develop, and implement strategies and solutions with the assistance of the Administrator.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships and represent the facility in professional and community activities
  • Attend and participate in educational programs for continued professional development
  • Participate in the facility Manager on Duty weekend program
  • Participate in all internal and external facility sponsored events and activities.
  • All other duties and tasks as assigned by the Administrator.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work or Business Administration is required.
  • Knowledge of Long-Term Care preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the facility and at the Administrators direction. This is not a remote position.
  • Must be able to deal tactfully and have the ability to work effectively with residents, families, personnel, support agencies and the general public.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must have patience, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with all personnel.
  • This is a full-time (40 hours per week) salary/exempt position.
  • This position is not remote.
