Job summary

ALIYA Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Administrator to support the daily operations of a skilled nursing facility in Chicago. The role collaborates with the Administrator and leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, optimize operations, and promote resident-centered care.

The ideal candidate is an emerging healthcare leader with strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, aiming to grow in long-term care administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Administrator-in-Training (AIT) experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care setting, or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of nursing facility operations, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Administrator in the day-to-day management and operation of the facility.
  • Support department directors in achieving operational, clinical, and financial goals.
  • Help ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing facilities.
  • Participate in facility surveys, audits, and inspections.
  • Monitor facility operations and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist with quality assurance, performance improvement, infection control, and risk management initiatives.
  • Support employee engagement, retention, and staff development programs.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and resource allocation efforts.
  • Help address resident, family, and employee concerns and facilitate appropriate resolutions.
  • Attend leadership meetings, care plan meetings, and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information, including PHI.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and resident-centered care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or Director of Operations.
