Job summary

Cambia Health Solutions in Portland, Oregon, is seeking an Assistant Actuarial Analyst to support modeling, data queries and reporting within the Actuarial and Healthcare Informatics teams. This hybrid role requires commuting to offices in listed locations and collaboration with actuaries, statisticians and data analysts to inform pricing and financial projections.

The candidate should have a math or actuarial science background, pass at least one SOA exam, and be proficient in Microsoft Office;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, economics, computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Acquire skills in Microsoft Office Suite, health plan data, and coding for model development and data queries.
• Create, maintain, update and review data queries and models; may suggest improvements.
• Prepare and review project code, analytic models, data visualizations and documentation; collaborate with peers.
• Assemble deliverables for customers and draft responses to questions.
• Peer review of technical work and QA of new reports, programs, and models.
