Job summary

HUB International invites you to join our Commercial Lines team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ as an Assistant Account Executive. You will support account handlers with daily activity, provide technical assistance, and help manage policy documents, endorsements, and invoicing.

We seek detail-oriented professionals with 2+ years of experience, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to work within deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in insurance or account management.
• Detail-oriented with good math and communication skills.
• Ability to understand, analyze, and research different lines of insurance.
• Good typing skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to work within designated time frames.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining account folders in accordance with internal Quality Control guidelines.
• Check policy coverages and endorsements on all new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance.
• Prepare proposals occasionally and policy summaries.
• Process endorsements, placement requests and invoicing: Credit, Debit, Monthly reports.
• Liase with Accounting department on research and justification of premium charges as compared with endorsements and invoices.
• Handle or refer insured’s and underwriter’s questions.
• Pursue a program of professional development.
• Begin studies for appropriate licenses.

We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive to join our Commercial Lines team in our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.

Job Purpose

To assist account handlers in processing daily account activity. To provide technical support in accordance with company operating procedures.

Functions & Responsibilities:

• Maintaining account folders in accordance with internal Quality Control guidelines
• Check policy coverages and endorsement on all new business and renewals for accuracy and relevance
• Prepare proposals occasionally and policy summaries
• Process endorsements, placement requests and invoicing: Credit, Debit, Monthly reports
• Liase with Accounting department on research and justification of premium charges as compared with endorsements and invoices
• Handle or refer insured’s and underwriter’s questions
• Perform other specific duties as directed by the Account Executive
• Pursue a program of professional development
• Begin studies for appropriate licenses

The expected salary range for this position is $32.97 an hour - $35.72 an hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
