Rooted Salon is seeking a proactive Assistant to support stylists and enhance the client experience. You will help with daily operations, keep the salon clean, and provide outstanding customer service from greeting guests to checkout.

• Provide an elevated shampoo and scalp experience that meets guest expectations at Rooted.
• Help create an exceptional guest experience from the moment guests enter until they leave.
• Maintain Rooted's cleanliness, organization, and professionalism across stations, shampoo, color area, laundry, and shared spaces.
• Assist with mixing color, preparing tools, cleaning between guests, and other salon support tasks.
• Stay aware of surroundings and take initiative without being asked.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, laundry, and behind-the-scenes systems for smooth operation.
• Learn products and services to confidently support guest recommendations and the service providers.

The Role

As an Assistant at Rooted Salon, you will play a vital role in supporting our stylists and enhancing the overall client experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily operations, maintaining salon cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with our team to ensure that every client feels valued and cared for.

What You’ll Do

• Support our service providers throughout their day by anticipating needs, preparing for guests, assisting with services, and helping keep appointments running smoothly.
• Provide an elevated shampoo and scalp experience that reflects the level of care and attention our guests expect at Rooted.
• Help create an exceptional guest experience from the moment someone walks through our doors until they leave.
• Maintain Rooted's standards for cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout the salon. This includes stations, shampoo area, color area, laundry, and shared spaces.
• Assist with mixing color, preparing tools and products, cleaning and resetting between guests, and other hands-on salon support.
• Stay aware of what is happening around you and take initiative rather than waiting to be asked.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, laundry, and maintaining the behind-the-scenes systems that allow the salon to operate smoothly.
• Learn our products and services so you can confidently support guest recommendations and the service providers you work alongside.
• Participate in education, training, team meetings, and opportunities designed to help you grow within the industry.
• Contribute to a team culture built around support, respect, communication, accountability, and stepping in for one another.

A Plus, But Not Required

Previous salon or customer service experience is always helpful, but attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter most to us.

Experience with salon software, professional haircare products, cosmetology education, or working in a fast-paced guest-focused environment is a plus.
