Job summary

Target in Logan, UT is seeking an Assets Protection Team Leader to help maintain guest safety and store integrity. You will lead a team of hourly associates, implement protection plans, and respond to security incidents with guidance from store leadership.

The role emphasizes prudent staffing, training, and collaboration with leadership to safeguard assets while delivering a positive guest experience and supporting profitability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Previous retail and/or loss prevention experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments and ensure consistent operations.
• Observe, coach, and hold team members accountable for performance.
• Review area guest, financial, and team metrics and take action to improve.
• Identify theft and shortage trends and develop tactics to reduce loss.
• Lead merchandise protection and safety processes; partner with store leadership and law enforcement as needed.
• Schedule and plan staffing around security and theft patterns.
• Develop, coach and lead the team to elevate skills and performance.
• Support store leadership in emergency preparedness and incident response.
• Complete required training and maintain adherence to policy and procedures.
• Communicate AP priorities to peers and leadership and manage budgets for protection devices.
