Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Financial & Credit Analysis Support: Collect and organize financial statements, tax returns, liquidity reports, and collateral documents; prepare initial financial spreads and exposure summaries; assist with marketable securities analysis and collateral coverage reviews; draft memo components and client summaries.
• Operational & Execution Support: Maintain credit files and databases; coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Operations; prepare materials for credit meetings and committee packages.
• Risk & Controls: Ensure documentation is collected and maintained per policy; assist in annual reviews, covenant checks, and collateral revaluations; identify discrepancies and elevate as needed.
• Collaboration: Work with Associates, Underwriters, Bankers, and Risk; participate in team meetings and underwriting discussions.

Your Impact

The Underwriting Analyst is an entrylevel role responsible for supporting all aspects of the Private Bank's credit underwriting process. Analysts focus on data gathering, preliminary financial analysis, exposure tracking, and documentation support. The position is designed to build foundational credit skills and provide exposure to a wide range of wealthdriven lending solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Credit Analysis Support

• Collect and organize financial statements, tax returns, liquidity reports, and collateral documents.
• Prepare initial financial spreads, liquidity analyses, and exposure summaries.
• Assist with marketable securities analysis, LTV calculations, and collateral coverage reviews.
• Support Analysts and Underwriters with initial drafting of memo components and client summaries.

Operational & Execution Support

• Maintain credit files, internal databases, exposure systems, and workflow trackers.
• Support the documentation and closing process by coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations.
• Perform data integrity checks and prepare materials for credit meetings and committee packages.

Risk & Controls

• Ensure that required documentation is collected and maintained in accordance with policy.
• Support periodic monitoring activities, including annual reviews, covenant checks, and collateral revaluations.
• Assist in identifying discrepancies or red flags in client information and elevate appropriately.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Associates, Underwriters, Bankers, and Risk to ensure timely, accurate execution.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and underwriting discussions.

Qualifications

Required

• 1-3 years of experience in finance, credit underwriting, asset based lending, credit analysis, or credit risk required
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and financial statement review.
• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn credit fundamentals.

Preferred

• Internship or experience in private banking, corporate lending, wealth management, or credit operations.
• Exposure to financial modeling or analysis coursework.
