Asset & Wealth Management Division - Alternative Private Operations - Vice President - Dallas
Job Description

OPERATIONS

Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients worldwide. It also provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firm's assets and reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed, Operations develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.

YOUR IMPACT

The AWM Alternative Private Operations team seeks a professional to support various business lines within the Asset & Wealth Management Division's Private side. The role involves collaborating with controllers, fund management, technologists, and other operational groups on implementing new businesses and products, position creation, journal entries, invoice and tax payments, custody and cash confirmations, financing interest calculations, exception management, and risk mitigation across different desks’ investment strategies.

OUR IMPACT

Members of AWM Alternative Private Operations are subject matter experts within Operations. The team supports multiple asset types, including Corporate Credit, Corporate Equity, Growth Equity, Infrastructure, Real Estate Equity, and Real Estate Credit, sitting directly with the desks.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Partner with the Business and Federation to provide subject matter expertise to facilitate smooth process and transaction flows.
  • Ensure all transactions and positions are accurately processed and recorded in relevant systems, demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Complete internal system setups for new transactions.
  • Escalate issues to senior team members when there is a risk of incomplete tasks.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels internally and externally.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, adapting to changing activities and targets.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail under pressure.
  • Motivated, self-starting individual with a proven track record of delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of fund products (private markets, alternative investment funds, registered products) and regulatory environments.
  • Accounting background, including journal entries, reconciliations, and interest calculations.
  • Quick learner capable of grasping new concepts and working collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and adaptability to other software.
