Job summary

KAG SERVICES INC in Tampa, FL, is seeking a transportation dispatcher to streamline freight operations, plan daily routes, and optimize loads. The role partners with dispatchers and fleet managers to reach KPI targets and ensure on-time deliveries.

You will coordinate up to 75 drivers, communicate with customers and terminals, and adapt plans to changing conditions. A HS diploma and logistics experience are preferred, with strong written and spoken communication.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Prior logistics dispatch/scheduling experience is a plus.
• Must possess strong communication and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate shipping operations across routes and fleets.
• Develop daily operating plan with emphasis on KPIs, payload, and on-time deliveries.
• Collaborate daily with Scheduling Team Leaders on growth opportunities for assets.
• Assess and adjust operating plans to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate maintenance and issues with Terminal Managers and Technicians.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, drivers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the streamlining of all aspects of the freight transportation process. Focus is on reducing shipping time, expediting routes, and maximizing loads for all types of cargo transport.
