Job summary

KAG SERVICES INC in Tacoma, WA, is seeking a logistics dispatcher to streamline freight transportation operations. The role focuses on reducing shipping time, expediting routes, and maximizing loads for all cargo types, with daily planning and coordination across the team.

You will partner with dispatchers, fleet managers, and terminal staff to meet KPI targets, manage up to 75 drivers, and adapt plans to changing conditions while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Logistics dispatch or scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating with drivers, terminals and customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and logistics software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily operating plan with emphasis on achieving department KPI’s.
• Partner with dispatchers and fleet managers to plan and carry out shipping operations.
• Evaluate current operating plan and create future plans focusing on payload and on-time deliveries.
• Engage with Scheduling Team Leaders for growth opportunities and asset optimization.
• Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, dispatchers and other departments for smooth operations.
• Manage day-to-day operations of up to 75 drivers.
• Coordinate maintenance needs with Terminal Managers and Lead Technicians.

Shift: 6PM - 6AM; Saturday - TuesdayPosition SummaryThis position is responsible for the streamlining of all aspects of the freight transportation process. Focus is on reducing shipping time, expediting routes, and maximizing loads for all types of cargo transport.
