Job summary

Five Below in New York seeks a Loss Prevention Associate to help reduce shrink and safeguard our stores. You will work with the General Manager to ensure policy compliance and maintain the employee entrance area.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience, and the ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 20 lbs. Nights and weekends are required. Strong communication and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of retail loss prevention experience.
• Able to stand and walk on sales floor for 8 hours.
• Able to lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Good verbal and written communication; ability to work nights and weekends.
• Must communicate with all levels of staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to shortage reduction/investigations.
• Work with General Manager to ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain the employee entrance area where applicable.
• Track packages delivered through the employee entrance.
• Conduct store physical security checks and make recommendations to prevent loss.
• Perform figure 8's in store and remain active throughout the shift.
• Provide a visible, courteous presence at entrance/exit and greet customers.
