Job summary

Nordstrom's Asset Protection team safeguards customers, associates and merchandise while partnering with the store Emergency Response Team to prepare for, respond to, and recover from incidents. The Asset Protection Agent will monitor for theft, investigate incidents, utilize video and RFID data, and collaborate with store leaders and law enforcement to protect assets and maintain safety.

Reporting and training are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid security license is required in several locations as stated.
• Ability to make decisions with good judgement in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication; high confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft using judgment and ensure proper apprehensions per policy.
• Identify theft trends via reporting, surveillance and technology.
• Drive shrinkage reduction by implementing protection standards.
• Investigate internal theft with AP leadership and investigation teams.
• Monitor theft activity using video systems and RFID data.
• Maintain safety of customers and associates; respond to incidents.
• Lead shrinkage awareness and training within the store.
• Prepare prompt, complete reports for incidents and investigations.
• Testify in court when summoned; build partnerships with law enforcement.
