Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, Visual Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an interest in storytelling and developing content for various audiences.
• Experience with graphic design and visual communication principles including layout, typography, imagery and information design.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, or similar tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of internal communications, training materials, presentations, policy documentation and other resources supporting Asset Protection programs and initiatives.
• Create engaging visuals and graphics that communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Assist with design and development of training content for store associates, field leaders, and other internal audiences.
• Support organization and enhancement of Asset Protection SharePoint sites and internal communication platforms.
• Partner with subject matter experts to translate business needs into effective communications and learning materials.
• Assist with writing, editing, and proofreading communications to ensure clarity and brand consistency.
• Support video, presentation, and multimedia projects to increase awareness of Asset Protection initiatives.
• Help evaluate current resources and suggest improvements in usability and design.

Internship Position Title: Asset Protection Communication & Training Intern

The 2027 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering Corporate, Field, and Distribution Center internship tracks. The internship will be hybrid for Corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center and Field interns. Interns will gain hands‑on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real‑world experience directly related to the academic discipline and career goals, offering a better understanding of career options.

TEAM OVERVIEW

The Asset Protection team partners across the organization to create engaging communications, training, policy and procedure resources that help associates understand asset protection programs designed to promote safety, security, and reduce financial losses (in the form of theft, fraud and operational errors).

The Communications, Training & Design Intern will help bring those programs to life through compelling storytelling, thoughtful design, and engaging learning experiences. INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development and execution of internal communications, training materials, presentations, policy documentation and other resources supporting Asset Protection programs and initiatives.
• Create engaging visual content and graphics that communicate complex information in a clear, concise, and visually compelling way.
• Assist with the design and development of training and educational content for store associates, field leaders, and other internal audiences.
• Support the organization, design, and ongoing enhancement of Asset Protection SharePoint sites and other internal communication platforms.
• Partner with Asset Protection subject matter experts to translate business needs and technical information into effective communications and learning materials.
• Assist with writing, editing, and proofreading communications to ensure content is clear, accurate, consistent, and aligned with Ulta Beauty's voice and brand standards.
• Support video, presentation, and multimedia projects designed to increase awareness and engagement with Asset Protection and safety initiatives.
• Help evaluate existing communications and training resources and recommend opportunities to improve usability, consistency, engagement, and visual design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, Visual Communications, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an interest in storytelling and developing content for a variety of audiences.
• Experience with graphic design and visual communication principles, including layout, typography, imagery, and information design.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, or similar creative tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Experience in creating or maintaining content within Microsoft SharePoint is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for visual consistency, accuracy, and quality.
• Interest in learning how communications, training, and design can influence associate engagement and business results.
• Desire to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and interact with various levels of leadership.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2027.
• Previous work experience and active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other digital content creation tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established deadlines.
• High level of professionalism when working with sensitive and/or proprietary information.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full‑time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
